Praharsh Nanavati

I am a Doctoral Student at CISPA, advised by Prof. Jilles Vreeken as part of the RTG on Neuroexplicit Models at Universität Des Saarlandes. I am currently exploring various aspects of causality, bits of information theory (pun intended!) and trustworthy machine learning.

I have previously worked in causal representation learning (CRL), causal discovery, explainable artificial intelligence (XAI), probabilistic models, and sports analytics.

Prior to this, I was a Predoctoral Researcher at the CSA Department at IISc, working on Causal Fairness, where I was fortunate to have been advised by Prof. Siddharth Barman.

I received my BS-MS degree from IISERB. My Master's thesis was on Causal Representation Learning and Domain Generalisation, where I was co-advised by Dr. Karthikeyan Shanmugam (Google Deepmind, India) and Prof. Ranjitha Prasad at IIITD.
